House Visits if required. Occasionally, should a vet
not be able to visit, we may offer to send a
Veterinary Nurse to collect your pet so they can be brought back
to be treated at the surgery.
Should this happen, it is unlikely that you would be able to accompany
your pet, but the veterinary surgeon dealing with your animal would
always telephone and explain what treatment would be needed and any
costs involved before embarking on any procedure.
Surgical
Procedures
Theses are carried out
every weekday morning. Unless otherwise advised by the vet, pets coming
to the surgery for operations, dentistry or X-rays etc should have been
starved the night before.
They can have access
to water overnight but this should be taken up first thing in the
morning.
They should be brought
to the surgery between 8.30am and 10.00am - dogs should have a short
walk to relieve themselves and should have a collar and lead on; cats
should be brought in a suitable, secure cat basket; rabbits or other
small pets can be brought in a basket or box to suit.
Most patients go home
the same day, usually between 4.00pm and 7.00pm but it is advisable to
telephone the surgery before coming to collect your pet.
Fees
Payment
is usually requested at the time that the consultation, surgical or
other procedure takes place. If your pet is insured, it may be possible
for us to claim direct from the Insurance Company, but please discuss
this with the vet first.
Payment is accepted by
cash, cheque (supported by a valid cheque guarantee card) or credit
&
debit cards. We also accept vouchers from, for example, the RSPCA or
Cats Protection League. If you wish to use one of these please
tell the Nurse/Receptionist before the pet
is seen.
For unexpected
problems that result in large accounts, it may be possible to arrange
to spread the payments over a short period of time. This can only
be done with the prior arrangement of the surgeon.
